To all interested applicants,

Thank you for your interest in our company and in the open position we’re currently looking to fill. Before you click “apply” we’d like to take a moment to share with you who we are and what Poli Construction is all about.

Established in 2009 as a subcontractor providing carpentry and metal framing services, Poli quickly became a resource of first choice to well-established GCs working primarily in and around the Florida theme park industry. Through hard work, perseverance and our word being our bond we gravitated into being a GC in our own right. We’ve had our ups and we’ve had our downs, moments of glory but also moments of learning valuable lessons. And, through it all, we’ve learned that our success orbits our full-throated, no apologies embrace of four core values.

HUMBLE – we believe that no individual is more important than another. We unite as one team and recognize that only with this attitude can we achieve success in our endeavors each day.

ETHICAL – we do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Truth and honesty are the foundation of our interactions with clients, partners and with each other. We don’t hide or obscure our mistakes or errors but, rather, we take ownership and communicate responsibly. Our commitment to ethical conduct defines our character and sets us apart in the construction industry.

URGENT – we believe time is of the essence and we act promptly, efficiently and without unnecessary delays. By understanding our scope and planning accordingly, we respond to changing conditions with a sense of professional urgency.

ALWAYS IMPROVING – We acknowledge that we aren’t perfect; we learn from our mistakes, and we continually seek growth. Through open discussions, lessons learned meetings and willingness to be corrected we strive for constant improvement and increased efficiency.

As you consider submitting your application, we ask you to please appreciate that these core values don’t appear on our office walls or in our marketing materials. We truly believe in these four core values, and we live by them, understanding that when we adhere to these values we succeed and when we deviate from them, we fail. And so, we ask you: do these core values resonate with you? If the honest answer to that question is “yes” then we encourage you to apply; indeed, we’re excited to hear from you.  But if these core values don’t resonate with you, for whatever the reason, then please respect that Poli isn’t going to

be a good fit for you.

In summary, we’d love for you to join our team. But only if you honestly feel you can live by our core values, and only if you believe you can add value through your work and contributions.

Best regards,

Vida Szatkowski, President
