GIS Analyst II

 

We are in search of a talented GIS Analyst II. We are offering you the opportunity to work with experienced staff members and bring your relevant pipeline experience to us. The most important requirements for this position are an open mindset, a great attitude, and a desire to be part of a growth-oriented team. You will be providing leading geographic information technology support for our pipeline solutions clients.

 

As a GIS Analyst II based in Houston, you will have the chance to work on a broad range of consulting projects with a focus supporting our pipeline client base. Working with other members of our team, you’ll help deliver complex technical projects and be passionate about applying GIS technology. As part of your experience here at Altamira, you will have the opportunity to leverage your strong geospatial skills, along with your pipeline knowledge and collaborate with experts in various disciplines to apply GIS technologies on a variety of projects. Your path to success:

·      B.S or M.S./M.A. Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or directly related discipline with 7-10 years of professional experience, including 5 years of Pipeline experience.

·      Have significant demonstrated experience with the ESRI suite of software, including:

ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, Spatial Analyst, Data Interoperability, Network Analyst, Image Analyst, Location Referencing System (LRS) and ArcGIS Pipleine Referencing (APR)

·      Web: ArcGIS Online, Field Map Designer Smart Forms Development, Operational Dashboards

·      GIS System Architecture: Enterprise Deployment, System maintenance, SQL

·      PODS DB implementation, revisions, updates, and data loading

·      Strong data management skills including creating, editing, and converting GIS data.

·      Strong cartographic and visual design standards to make our products look great for both print and web-based solutions.

·      Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail to effectively support project teams and clients.

·      Experience setting up field teams for mobile data collection using Field Maps and GPS equipment.

·      Experience creating, publishing, and managing map services.

·      Experience with pipeline data management and reconciliation is a must.

·      Experience with reading, reviewing and implementation of Pipeline Survey data is a must.

·      Experience with Python and ModelBuilder a plus.

·      Travel – up to 20%.
