What You’ll Be Doing

In the Stormwater Engineer role at Mead & Hunt, you'll lead the charge in stormwater project design and analysis, bringing projects from inception to fruition with a keen eye on detail and efficiency. This encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including the meticulous design, research, planning, and execution of calculations essential for stormwater management systems. Through project leadership, you'll excel in orchestrating the project lifecycle, from scheduling and budgeting to fostering client relationships and steering team dynamics towards success.


Your role is pivotal in employing state-of-the-art software tools for stormwater management design, like HydroCAD, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD SSA, to craft cutting-edge stormwater management solutions. Alongside technical prowess, you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining client relationships, a cornerstone for collaborative project development. Ensuring the highest standards of quality through rigorous QA/QC processes also falls within your purview, guaranteeing that every project not only meets but exceeds expectations.



Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related degree.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant field.
  • PE license, with the ability to obtain licensure in OR and/or WA within six months.


Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Proven track record in stormwater management system design.
  • Experience with civil infrastructure project planning, including preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, especially in water resources projects.
  • Proficient in project management tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software, including MS Office, GIS, AutoCAD, and specialized hydraulic/hydrology modeling tools.
