Compensation: $55,000 – $60,000 base + bonus potential

Position Overview 

The Smart Factory Logistics (SFL) Specialist is a critical operations and systems-focused role responsible for supporting and optimizing smart inventory management solutions across multiple customer locations. This position serves as a key liaison between internal systems, field technicians, and customer operations, ensuring seamless functionality of smart factory logistics systems. 

 

This role combines technical system configuration, supply chain logistics, and field support, requiring both analytical capability and strong interpersonal skills. The SFL Specialist operates as a subject matter expert in internal software systems, while also providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, and leadership in dynamic, real-world environments. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

System Configuration & Implementation 

  • Configure and maintain customer setups within internal logistics systems (ARIMS) 
  • Establish and manage part data, bin locations, and inventory structures across multiple facilities 
  • Ensure optimal system configuration based on operational efficiency, ergonomics, and customer requirements 
  • Coordinate and support new system installations, including equipment planning and deployment 


System Administration & Optimization 

  • Serve as a “super user” of internal software platforms, ensuring system integrity and performance 
  • Monitor system functionality and proactively identify opportunities for improvement 
  • Execute configuration updates, including changes to usage, location, part numbers, and inventory parameters 
  • Conduct periodic system audits and logistics checks to optimize replenishment strategies and inventory levels 


Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution 

  • Diagnose and resolve a high volume of daily system errors, including connectivity, hardware, and configuration issues 
  • Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and field personnel to ensure timely resolution of operational disruptions 


Field Support & Technical Leadership 

  • Provide remote and on-site support to field technicians and customer personnel 
  • Act as a functional leader and primary point of contact for system-related inquiries and issue resolution 
  • Guide technicians through system processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices 
  • Support installation activities, including oversight and coordination of resources 


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Partner with customers and internal teams to ensure effective use of smart factory systems 
  • Deliver training sessions for employees and customers on system functionality and reporting tools 
  • Assist in presenting system capabilities and solutions to support customer engagement and business development 
  • Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences 

 

Work Environment 

  • Approximately 65% office-based, computer-driven work 
  • Approximately 15% hands-on, on-site operational support 
  • Approximately 35% travel within the region, including overnight stays 
  • Exposure to manufacturing and warehouse environments during site visits 

 

Qualifications 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred 
  • Open to entry-level candidates with relevant internships or academic experience 
  • Alternatively, candidates with practical experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain environments will be considered 


Technical & Professional Skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate technical systems and software platforms 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to manage and interpret data to support operational decisions
