Who We Are:

Founded in 1948 by the parents of two sons with developmental disabilities, Laradon was the very first charitable organization in the Rocky Mountain region to offer support, education, and training to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is now the largest and most diverse service provider of its kind in Colorado, serving over 500+ individuals each day, starting at birth through end of life, with developmental disabilities each year.

 

Your Impact On The Mission:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations of Laradon. In addition to responsibilities for the operational and financial success of Laradon’s individual programs, the COO will establish the direction and strategy for Laradon in collaboration with the CEO while assuring optimal safety, quality, service, and outcomes. This position will lead and sustain change and drive the culture of trauma-informed and integrated care. This position is ultimately responsible for ensuring that quality and comprehensive service is being delivered efficiently on all levels, which is accomplished through effective leadership.  

 

About the Role:

  •  Lead the execution of Laradon's vision in being the premier provider for individuals with developmental disabilities.  
  • Develop and monitor program performance and quality indicators, communicate successes, together with Program Directors, and create and implement program improvements when needed.  
  • Responsible for creating an inclusive environment and behaving in a way that ensures that clients and employees feel embraced and included, regardless of individual characteristics, respected and valued, engaged and connected to the community, and safe from abuse and harassment. 
  •  Ensure provider adherence to clinical, Federal, and State requirements, in addition to ensuring accreditation standards, as applicable. 
  •  Review and interpret data (i.e. demographics, numbers of clients served and services provided, client satisfaction, client progress, and process improvement metrics, etc.) to support and inform grant activities, fundraising, program improvement, and other activities that support quality services for individuals. 
  • Track expectations for productivity and revenue at the program level while balancing the value of providing quality services and maintaining sustainable workloads for employees. 
  • Responsible for ensuring program employees adhere to requirements specified by law and/or governing bodies. 
  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting. 

 

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required.

·      7 Years experience in a senior leadership, as a COO or equivalent.

·      Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.

·      Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
