Title: Bookkeeper / Accountant

Client: Abacus Accounting Center

Location: Denver, CO - In Office, Hybrid, or Remote

Compensation: $45-60/hr or more, based on experience

 

 

Abacus Accounting Center is a small public accounting firm that specializes in customized support, offering tax support, business foundation services, and accounting services to small businesses. This experienced team is driven to provide excellent client experience, operate independently, and achieve results. They’re hiring an experienced Part-time or Full-time Bookkeeper/Accountant to join the team in-person, hybrid, or remotely!

 

 

As a Bookkeeper/Accountant, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role will involve managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, and supporting the accounting team in various capacities.

 

Responsibilities include:

·      Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients

·      Process accounts payable transactions via bill.com.

·      Reconcile bank and credit card statements

·      Prepare and process payroll via ADP online (if experience)

·      Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes for clients.

·      Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

·      Monitor and maintain the general ledger

·      Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with tax/financial regulations and standards

·      Assist with tax preparation and filing (if experience)

·      Communicate effectively with clients to resolve any bookkeeping issues or discrepancies

Qualifications:

·      Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Accountant, preferably in a small to mid-sized CPA firm

·      Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

·      Proficiency in QuickBooks (online and desktop) and Microsoft Office Suite.

·      Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·      Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·      High level of integrity and confidentiality

·      Experience with making processes more efficient through new softwares

·      Associates degree in Accounting or related education preferred

Compensation:

·      Full or hybrid work-from-home options with provided computer equipment.
