NY BUSINESS MANAGER - LUXURY SPIRITS BRAND

The NY Business Manager is responsible for the in-market management and execution of brand and sales strategies for in the New York market for a Luxury Gin from the UK. Focus is MetroNY on and off premise luxury accounts including hotels, member clubs, and retail groups as well as general market on and off premise accounts.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build distribution, presence, awareness, relevance and growth among target consumers and target accounts with a focus on luxury accounts in MetroNY
  • Ensure excellent execution and maximum effectiveness of market activities that align with your assigned KPI s (POS, POD s, menu features, & displays, etc.)
  • Track and ensure achievement of sales, depletion, and activation goals within assigned market
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key/high image accounts
  • Track KPIs for key/high image account listings (menu placements, staff trainings, account support, store tastings, sales velocity, etc.)
  • Develop and oversee key account list (On & Off premise)
  • Conduct regular staff trainings
  • Ability to work with a small team yet execute BIG!
  • Host luxury consumer events including tastings, dinners, events, and activations
  • Identify new business opportunities (new accounts, partnerships, events, etc.)
  • Identify, cultivate, educate, and motivate key brand ambassadors, including bartenders, managers and owners of On and Off Premise accounts
  • Execute key local and national marketing initiatives, in accordance with the marketing team
  • Place orders and review reports and assist with inventory management with the distributor
  • Partner with distributor salespeople and management to achieve goals and grow the business in MetroNY
  • Ability to assist with overseeing the NY business with the distributor including monthly meetings, QBRs, strategic planning, engaging and exciting the sales teams, managing inventory, work withs, etc.
  • Must be kept up to date on all new restaurant/ venue openings in assigned territory
  • Maintain market activation calendar
  • Maintain T&E budget – stay compliant with state laws and in budget
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with distributor sales reps
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years experience as a spirits supplier and/or distributor representative – luxury brands in the MetroNY market
  • On and off premise account experience and relationships highly preferred
  • Spirits industry training and experience in Brand Activation
  • Strong business acumen
  • Self-motivated, driven, and independent
  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships with luxury accounts on/off premise as well as distributor sales teams
  • Computer proficiency required in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the internet and CRM systems as needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Pre- existing market and trade relationships
  • Confident public speaker with in-depth spirits knowledge
  • Executes with luxury demeanor and professional attire – particularly for ultra-luxury events
  • Future growth opportunities within the company as the brand grows
