Job Title: New York Market Manager

This Sotol is an artisanal terroir-driven brand of sotol at the intersection of art and music. With our three SKUs, we aim to invite consumers into the world of sotol by offering unparalleledgastronomic experience, while also engaging them with our lifestyle elements linked to music, feelings, art and culture.

The Gin is made from 21 different botanicals all native to the Ligurian Coast of Italy. This gorgeous combination of flavors and herbs creates dry, but flavorful Gin, ideal for sipping or in fantastic cocktails. 


Position Overview:

The New York Market Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with key accounts, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies within the New York market. This role requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with extensive experience and contacts in the liquor industry, and a proven track record of success in market management and sales.

Passion and alignment with the brands is also key.


Key Responsibilities:

1. ​Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Work with the founders’ team to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop plans to capture additional market share.


2. ​Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key on-premise and off-premise accounts, distributors, and partners.
  • Conduct regular account visits to ensure customer satisfaction and identify sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability.


3. ​Market Analysis:

  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide regular sales reports and insights to the Founders
  • Track progress via a CRM tool


4. ​Brand Representation:

  • Ensure that the company's brands are represented consistently and effectively across the market.
  • Occasionally propose, plan and execute promotional activities and events to increase brand visibility and engagement, within a pre-determined plan and budget.


5. ​Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales and Brand Ambassadors, to align on objectives and deliver results.
  • Provide guidance and support to sales representatives and other team members in the market.
  • Uphold and nurture the relationship with the New York distributor and its sales representatives
  • Schedule and execute formal and informal work withs on a monthly basis


6. ​Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

·   ​Sales Metrics: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual growth targets.

·   ​Market Penetration: Increase the number of active accounts and expand the company's presence in key areas.

·   ​Account Retention: Maintain a high customer retention rate and ensure ongoing satisfaction of key accounts.

·   ​Promotional Effectiveness: Evaluate the impact of marketing and promotional activities on sales growth and brand awareness.

·   ​Distribution Goals: Achieve distribution targets for priority products across on-premise and off-premise accounts.

·   ​Reporting Timeliness: Submit regular and accurate reports on market activity, sales performance, and customer feedback.


Qualifications:

·   ​Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the liquor, beverage, or related industry.

·   ​Proven track record of managing and growing a market, with a focus on New York.

·   ​Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.

·   ​Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on insights.

·   ​Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

·   ​Ability to travel within the market as needed.

·   ​Knowledge of New York's liquor laws and regulations.
