Loan Operations Specialist

Compensation: $50K-75K based on experience, plus full benefits.

Overview

Lupton Partners is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established community bank known for its commitment to accuracy, service, and integrity. The Loan Operations Specialist is a key member of the Loan Operations Department, responsible for ensuring that all loans—from commercial to consumer and real estate—are accurately booked, serviced, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

This position supports lending, credit, and documentation teams by providing reliable operational support, ensuring compliance, and maintaining the accuracy of loan data and records.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter, verify, and maintain all new, renewed, and modified loan records within the bank’s core system.
• Review loan documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to funding.
• Process payments, payoffs, and account adjustments with precision and timeliness.
• Track key items such as insurance renewals, financial covenants, and collateral documentation to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Perform account and general ledger reconciliations related to loan balances and escrow accounts.
• Partner with lenders and credit staff to resolve discrepancies and support smooth loan servicing operations.
• Assist in preparing materials for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Uphold confidentiality standards and maintain adherence to all bank policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or a similar banking support function preferred.
• Solid understanding of loan documentation, loan accounting, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in core banking systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills, with a customer service mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
