Compensation: $200,000 - $300,000 base salary plus incentive compensation


Overview


Lupton Partners is recruiting for the position of Head of Sales on behalf of our client, a well-established, Kansas City-based organization operating nationwide. This leadership role is responsible for expanding and strengthening the company’s sales force across the Midwest. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales leadership, with experience managing a large, multi-location team and a proven ability to drive growth.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the company’s sales strategy, mentor agents, and build a high-performing sales team. Some travel may be required to support agents across multiple states.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Team Expansion: Lead efforts to recruit, hire, and onboard new agents, working closely with recruiting support to grow the sales force across the Midwest.
  • Agent Development: Work directly with new and existing agents to develop strategies for growing their business, expanding their customer base, and increasing sales performance.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide hands-on coaching and leadership to a multi-location team of 50+ agents, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
  • Market Expansion: Identify opportunities to enhance the company’s presence in existing and new markets, developing strategies to increase market share.
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to align sales initiatives with company goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales data, ensuring agents have the tools, training, and resources needed to succeed.
  • Travel & Regional Support: Visit agents and offices across multiple states as needed to provide in-person support, training, and strategic direction.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably within the insurance, banking, or financial services industries.
  • Leadership: Proven success leading a multi-location, large (50+) person sales team.
  • Sales Growth: Strong track record of building and scaling a sales force while driving business development.
  • Communication & Coaching: Excellent ability to mentor, train, and motivate agents to achieve their business goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to support agents across the Midwest.
