Job Description:


The Pastry Chef oversees the pastry department, ensuring the creation of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods that delight our guests. The Pastry Chef will lead the pastry team in daily operations, including menu development, recipe creation, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role involves managing inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Pastry Chef will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and other culinary leaders to create innovative and seasonal offerings that align with the resort’s vision. Additionally, the Pastry Chef will mentor and develop the pastry team, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • The Pastry Chef should have a high school diploma or GED with a Culinary degree or a minimum of five years of pastry experience in a high-volume or fine-dining environment.
  • The Pastry Chef must have a strong passion for pastry arts and a creative approach to dessert and pastry design.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire a team while maintaining a positive and professional work environment
  • The Pastry Chef must have experience in cost control, including food, labor, and inventory management.
