Drive a Culture of Safety Across High-Rise and Commercial Builds

Brisbane Based Opportunity

We’re looking for a proactive and dedicated HSE Coordinator to support our client's project teams in delivering safe, compliant, and high-performing construction sites. You’ll play a key role in implementing our Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across a range of commercial and residential high-rise developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor company HSE management systems across active project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
• Support site teams with incident investigations, corrective actions, and reporting.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to promote a strong safety culture.
• Review and update Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments.
• Provide HSE advice to site personnel and subcontractors to ensure a consistent understanding of requirements.
• Liaise with project leadership to identify trends, improve performance, and achieve proactive safety outcomes.
• Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, noise, dust and erosion controls.
• Prepare and maintain site safety documentation, reports, and registers.

About You

• Minimum Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma preferred).
• Experience as a HSE Advisor or Coordinator in commercial construction (projects $20M+ ideal).
• Thorough understanding of current WHS legislation, codes of practice, and ISO systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage site personnel and subcontractors.
• Hands-on and approachable attitude, able to work effectively with site teams.
• Sound computer literacy (MS Office, safety management software experience advantageous).
• Current White Card and driver’s licence required.
