Gemco is working with a range of Safety Professionals (Junior through to Manager level) across South East Queensland. If you’ve been thinking about an interstate move, we’ve got a number of live roles we can talk you through.

Responsibilities:

● Oversee and manage all site safety operations across the project.

● Lead and coordinate WHS compliance, inspections, and safety initiatives on site.

● Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance are maintained.

● Monitor and enforce site safety procedures, legislation, and company policies.

● Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and project leadership to achieve project safety goals.

● Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and corrective actions as required.

● Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across all stages of the project.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a Safety Advisor / Safety Coordinator / WHS role within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation, compliance requirements, and site-based risk management.

Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience conducting site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety reporting.

Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Effective communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
