Pre-Construction Project Manager Wanted

Our client is a well-established residential construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality apartments and communities across Brisbane. With a growing pipeline of exciting projects, they are seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join their team. This role is an excellent fit for someone with a background as a Construction/Project Manager (CA/PM) or Project Engineer who is ready to step into a pre-construction leadership position. The Pre-Construction Manager will lead all aspects of the pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are properly scoped, budgeted, and coordinated before moving into execution. This is a key role, working closely with design teams, consultants, and internal project leaders to set each project up for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage pre-construction activities for residential projects.
• Prepare and maintain budgets, schedules, and feasibility analyses.
• Coordinate design reviews with architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Conduct plan and specification reviews to confirm constructability and compliance.
• Develop cost estimates and lead value engineering initiatives.
• Oversee bid package preparation, subcontractor outreach, and proposal evaluations.
• Ensure seamless project handoff to construction teams.



Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in construction, ideally in residential projects.
• Prior experience as a CA/PM or Project Engineer strongly valued.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
