• Defects Manager Wanted:
• Work across Brisbane Projects

Our client is seeking an experienced Defects Manager to join their Brisbane-based construction team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for identifying, managing, and resolving defects throughout the construction process, contributing to smooth project delivery and successful client handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify, record, and manage defects
• Coordinate and oversee defect rectification works with site teams and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate records of defects and corrective actions
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality standards are met
• Provide clear progress updates to site and project stakeholders
• Implement systems and processes to minimise recurring defects
• Assist with project completion and client handover processes



About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Finishes Foreman or in a similar QA/defects role within construction
• Strong background in defect rectification and client-facing delivery
• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and quality control processes
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues efficiently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
