Construction Team Delivering Mid - Large Scale Developments

Southern Gold Coast Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a leading builder delivering multiple high-profile projects across the Gold Coast. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of large-scale developments, coordinating design outcomes from early planning through to project delivery.

As Design Manager, you will play a key role in managing the design process across several concurrent projects including large residential towers, mixed-use precincts, hospitality developments, and major commercial builds currently shaping the Gold Coast skyline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the design process across multiple projects from concept through to construction documentation
  • Manage design consultants including architects, engineers, and specialist consultants
  • Ensure design solutions meet program, budget, buildability, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to resolve design challenges
  • Drive value engineering and innovation throughout the design development stages
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Manage design changes, RFI responses, and consultant deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain strong stakeholder communication with internal teams, consultants, and project partners

These projects are contributing to the continued growth and transformation of the Gold Coast and offer exposure to complex, high-value builds.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator within commercial construction
  • Strong experience delivering large-scale residential, mixed-use, or hospitality projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and consultant teams simultaneously
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodology and buildability
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Relevant qualification in  Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
