Position Overview


This position is for generating reinsurance opportunities and maintaining existing relationships for assigned clients to support The company’s goals for growing our New Business Embedded Value and other performance metrics.


Responsibilities

• Generate reinsurance opportunities and further strengthen the relationship with all of your clients

o Develop and maintain a thorough plan for all your targets. Ensure this plan is updated on a regular basis for all relevant changes.

o Ensure you direct the proper execution of the plan using all the company's resources at your disposal

o Make sure all resources at The company know what they need to do in order to ensure execution of the plan

o Contribute to the development of The company Japan strategy

• Maintain and share current market knowledge

o Research, analyze, and develop new products and solutions for insurance company issues

o Stay up to date on local regulatory, tax, solvency and insurance standards. Share this knowledge with others.

o Stay up to date on the leading products within each of the distribution channels and share this knowledge with others

• Focus on execution of reinsurance deals

o Identify and close the deals to ensure plan is met

o Negotiate and structure reinsurance agreements which reflect client and The compan's business objectives

o Manage and develop the projects by working with local staff, the client, other The company offices in an effective and efficient manner

• Communicate regularly with necessary internal and external associates and clients

o Lead and manage client team by facilitating strategic discussions as well as motivating team members

o Collaborate and co-work with Financial structuring team on client negotiations as well as internal process

o Maintain clear communications with International, Regional, STL staff in explaining, convincing various Business and cultural issues

o Act in a professional manner

o Ensure that the marketing support team has clear direction and provides necessary information in a timely fashion


Requirements


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Deepened professional knowledge of life insurance product

• Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Good business communication in English (verbal and writing)

• Strong presentation skills

• Strong negotiation skills

• Team work oriented

• Good personality as this position would directly face with clients

• N2 or native level Japanese language skill

• Self starter



Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years or more professional experience in Insurance

• Experience in reinsurance department or industry

• Experience in either of the following areas;

o Product development

o Actuarial

o B to B Sales

o Corporate planning
