Responsibilities:

• Develop reinsurance strategies and solutions with internal and external partners to achieve MetLife’s financial objectives and manage risks.

• Coordinate and oversee structuring and negotiation of new reinsurance transactions.

• Coordinate and develop appropriate reinsurance solutions for new insurance products to

manage risks.

<Requirements>

Experience:

• Life Insurance experience or comparable financial industry experience.

• Working experience in the insurance or finance fields for 10 years (or enough time to understand the dynamics of an insurance company balance sheet under Japanese accounting standards.

Skills:

• Ability to drive a business proposal from idea formulation to implementation.

• Negotiation skills.

• Business writing skills, presentation skills.

• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

• Qualifications: Actuarial skills at Fellowship level.

Language:

• Japanese: native proficiency.

• English: fluent proficiency. Interacting with counterparts in other countries, especially in the US, is likely.

Personality:

A good self-starter who can work as a team.
