Casualty & Cyber Reinsurance Broker

We are seeking a highly motivated and equally talented individual to be part of our industry leading Casualty & Cyber reinsurance team in Tokyo, servicing our Japanese clients.

The role will focus on accelerating our Casualty & Cyber value proposition and growth.

The candidate is expected to coordinate other value-adding propositions, including analytics and facultative. They will further develop the longstanding partnership with Cedants and global Reinsurers.

Responsibilities

§  Articulate and implement **’s service offering and value proposition to existing and prospective clients through treaty reinsurance and analytics solutions.

§  Close collaboration with 1) **’s global Cyber team; and 2) **’s global Specialty Casualty team, to deliver solutions to clients.

§  Develop relationships with local and global Reinsurers. Identify areas of opportunities based on reinsurer’s capabilities, market presence and appetite.

§  Work collaboratively with ** Group Japan colleagues locally across Treaty, Facultative and Analytics to give best advice to clients and prospects.

§  Analyse and structure the information (whether quantitative or qualitative) needed for implementing successful (reinsurance) transactions meeting clients’ needs.

Requirements

§  Preferably experience in the Casualty and Cyber (re)insurance industry working in broking, sales, underwriting and/or reinsurance roles. Global perspective would be a plus.

§  Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage all levels within internal and external organisations.

§  Excellent numerical skills, with very good Excel skills.

§  Business level English, Japanese would be an additional bonus but not necessarily a pre-requisite.

§  Enthusiastic dedication to clients. Winning spirit.

§  Self-motivated, holds oneself accountable and takes ownership for problem resolution, able to prioritize under pressure of competing deadlines.

§  A willingness and ability to build trust with and cultivate relationships with clients and prospects.
