Role Overview
** Re is looking for a Structuring Actuary to be based in Japan as part of its expansion into the market. Reporting to the Head of Structured Solutions, the actuary will provide services to ** Re's Singapore branch for** Re's profitable acquisition and management of **Re business in Japan.

Principal Responsibilities
• Supporting the regional Structured Solutions team with regards to risk analysis, including the relevant documentation, regarding **Re opportunities arising from Japan in timely and professional manners
• Proactively looking for information pertaining to trends in the industry, changes in regulations and other environment which may be relevant to ** Re's business propositions for timely updates to the Head of Structured Solutions
• Performing quality peer-review and warranting accuracy/quality of works by the team, including documentations
• Providing quality support and input with regards to administration (including liaisons with clients), valuation, monitoring (including periodical experience analysis) and other operational tasks relevant to existing **Re treaties written from Japan
• Supporting the Head of Structured Solutions with development and implementation of marketing strategies, client segmentation, and relevant action plans in accordance with ** Re's **Re strategies
Basic Qualifications
• Qualified Life Actuary
• About 5 to 10 years of experience at a Life insurance company in Japan, preferably with experience in valuation, pricing and experience studies
• Native Japanese language
• Intermediate level of English, with willingness to learn/improve English and work in an international environment
• Proficient knowledge of life insurance savings and investment products, capital management, regulation, accounting and taxation
• Sound understanding of international regulation and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency II, ESR)
• Experience in dealing with client customers at a professional level
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently while being part of a regional team
