Key duties and responsibilities
• Generate reinsurance opportunities at the target clients and execute reinsurance transactions. Negotiate and structure reinsurance agreements.
• Manage the process for providing proposals to and for executing transactions with the client by influencing all the stakeholders. Ensure the solutions offered are relevant and commercially attractive to clients while satisfying ***’s risk and profitability requirements.
• Establish and strengthen the relationships with executives, key decision makers and influencers at the target client companies. Create and maintain a strong brand awareness for ** among the insurance industry.
• Manage the assigned projects for **’s business growth by working with all the stakeholders.
• Contribute to executing and developing **’s business development strategy and plans.
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
- 5-10+ years professional experience in insurance
- Sound understanding of practical and theoretical aspects of insurance business in Japan
- Experience in reinsurance department or industry (preferred)
- Experience in either Business Development, Product Development, Actuarial, Corporate Planning, or Finance area (preferred)
Personal Competences:
- Customer centric - communicate effectively in client meetings
- Ability to work collaboratively with many stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Sociable personality to proactively build relationships with clients
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Actuarial qualification preferred
