Responsibilities
- In coordination with relevant brokers, Korea office BD staff, Korea office management, and structuring team management, develop relationships with key client decision makers / product teams, lead and support execution of transactions
- Establish credibility as expert on structuring team solutions / recognized as structuring team expert in the market
- Regularly interact with key client teams to understand key KPIs, business strategy, product strategy, pricing metrics and capital issues
- Lead and support the deal execution process and interact with Pricing, Product Development and key corporate functions
- Lead and support transactions and Business Development efforts in other key markets, including Southeast Asia
- Develop relationships with other key players in the market e.g. consultants, investment banks, industry bodies
- Ability to:
-identify structuring team opportunities for clients
-clearly communicate concepts and solutions to clients and internal network
-structure structuring team solutions that satisfy **’s risk and pricing frameworks
-manage projects within internal guidelines to meet client deadlines
- Develop deep understanding of **’s risk appetite and pricing frameworks to facilitate development of executable structuring team solutions that contribute to **’s success
- Develop understanding of Korea accounting, solvency and insurance and other relevant regulations
- Establish personal brand and ** structuring team brand:
-Present at ** client events
-Make industry presentations
-Write journal article
-Provide best in class customer service to **’s clients
- Contribute to the establishment of ** and structuring team as a recognized provider of financial solutions throughout Asia Pacific
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent
- 10+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance and/or reinsurance and/or banking
- Experience in pricing, designing or marketing insurance business
- Financial reporting or accounting experience and/or training
- Experience in managing external (client, broker) relationships
- Experience to win and close reinsurance transactions
