Role Overview: The VP Health will be a key leader responsible for managing and developing **'s comprehensive health insurance portfolio across both the life and non-life businesses. This expanded role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in health product pricing, portfolio management, and data analytics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with underwriting, claims, and the CEO function to identify and implement strategies for risk mitigation, cost containment, and overall portfolio profitability.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Health Portfolio Management:

=Lead the overall health portfolio strategy for both ** Life and ** Non-Life businesses, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

=Oversee the management of individual health life products and health products sold to credit portfolios on the life side, in addition to existing non-life Accident & Health

(A&H) portfolios.

=Identify market opportunities and develop innovative health insurance solutions.


  • Pricing & Product Development:

=Drive the pricing strategy for all health products, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

=Collaborate closely with product development teams to design and launch new health products.


  • Portfolio Performance & Profitability:

=Implement robust portfolio management techniques to monitor and optimize the performance of the health portfolio.

=Analyze health data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

=Work with underwriting and claims teams to filter out bad risks, identify cost containment strategies, and improve claims ratios.

=Present insights and recommendations to senior management, including the CEO function, to drive strategic decisions.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

=Foster strong working relationships with underwriting, claims, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and effective strategy execution.

=Collaborate with the CEO function on key strategic initiatives related to health.


  • Team Leadership & Development:

(Once direct reports are established) Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on health insurance excellence.


Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum of 9-10 years of extensive experience in the health insurance domain, with a proven track record of managing significant health portfolios.
  • Demonstrable experience in both health product pricing and portfolio management.


Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in health data analytics.
  • Proven ability to work closely with underwriting and claims functions to drive strategic outcomes (e.g., risk selection, cost containment). Direct operational experience in UW/Claims is not mandatory but strong collaborative experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities.
