This role involves leadership and ownership of **Re’s pricing for Life and Health (L&H) business in Japan and Korea. The role requires leadership, client focus, agility, strategic mindset as well as strong technical and market insights. This role is reporting to the Chief Pricing Actuary, Life and Health, APAC.

Primary Responsibilities:

• lead the pricing team to appropriately price all reinsurance opportunities in Japan and Korea while ensuring compliance of internal standards
• collaborate with a cross-functional team of professionals from client markets and underwriting towards assessing the risks associated with a particular opportunity and ensure the sustainability of the business written
• provide leadership and guidance for advanced pricing of complex reinsurance transactions
• contribute to the development of market specific reinsurance solutions and products
• develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients across the region
• drive implementation of relevant strategic priorities of L&H Business Unit
• contribute to the development and maintenance of pricing bases and guidelines across markets and business lines
• develop and enforce appropriate peer and technical review practices
• ensure compliance of appropriate pricing authorities and business underwriting guidelines
• contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of pricing models
• strive for continued improvement of efficiency of pricing process to improve ease of doing business

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with over 15+ years of experience in (re)insurance pricing, with at least 5 years of pricing in Japan and/or Korea market
• Strong technical insight on key lines of business relevant to the markets
• Start-up mindset to contribute to **Re’s growth in the region, including the ability to build successful teams, infrastructure, processes and insight with limited data
• Passion for leading and developing talents
• Strong communicator with clients, internal stakeholders and senior management
