Under the direction of the Group Leader or Department Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks as an Actuary in the Finance Department:

Assumption Management
- Experience rate analysis
- Setting assumptions (premise for calculations) such as Best Estimate Assumptions, IFRS Reserve Assumptions (including Policyholder Adjustment (PAD))
- Calculating and analyzing IFRS, EV (Embedded Value), VNB (Value of New Business), and their impact on capital
- Explaining and discussing assumption updates with team members, Chief Actuaries of the company, and Group Office Actuaries.
Reinsurance
- Reviewing and revising existing reinsurance agreements (Note: Reinsurance for new products is considered by the Product Development Department)
- Discussing necessary revisions to existing reinsurance agreements with team members, Chief Actuaries of the company, and Group Office Actuaries.
- Negotiating with reinsurance companies regarding reinsurance agreement terms (e.g., reinsurance premium rates).
Reporting Tasks
- Using actuarial software (mathematical models) and Excel to calculate IFRS reserves and DAC (Deferred Acquisition Costs) based on IFRS 4, as well as conduct profit and loss analysis for IFRS.
- Participating in discussions related to the analysis of differences between IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
- Using actuarial software (mathematical models) and Excel to calculate and analyze EV (Embedded Value) and VNB (Value of New Business).
- Analyzing and reporting on insurance risks.
- Creating and analyzing future cash flow analysis for actuarial opinions using actuarial software (mathematical models).
- Developing and managing mathematical models for various actuarial calculations.
- Preparing management reports and explaining actuarial matters to the management team.
【Must-Have Qualifications】
- Background in Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related fields.
- 5 to 10 years of work experience as an Actuary, in a bank, or similar financial institution.
【Desirable Skills and Qualifications】
- Data Analytics skills or qualifications in Actuarial exams (preferably Associate or Fellow level).
- Proficiency and experience in insurance actuarial software such as Prophet, MoSes, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and participate in meetings and calls with the Group Office.
