As a Manager/Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution and contribute to our growing Actuarial Service offering through the application of your actuarial expertise and managerial skills. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
• Audit and Advisory on Insurance, Investment (Employee Stock Option) and Pension (Employee Benefit)
• General Actuarial and Financial Risk Modelling advisory work for example Pricing and Process Controls
• Advisory on Merger and Acquisition related activities including valuation of insurance liabilities and employee benefits
• Lead a team of actuarial analysts on IFRS 17 project delivery
o Develop and review IFRS 17 actuarial modelling approaches and technical accounting decisions
o Perform quantitative impact studies to assist clients’ understanding of the financial impacts of IFRS 17
o Perform actuarial data gap assessments and develop data solutions
o Work alongside IFRS 17 system vendor to ensure business and system required are understood and implemented accurately
o Conduct end-to-end testing of IFRS 17 actuarial systems
o Communicate and collaborate effectively with IFRS 17 project stakeholders
• Apply judgement, initiative and lateral thinking to problem-solving
• Contribute to insurance-related thought leadership and business development initiatives
