VP of Operations
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Vice President of Operations to help lead and scale operations within a service-based business. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will play a key part in driving execution, strengthening teams, and building repeatable operating processes that support growth across existing and future markets.
This leader will bring a practical, hands-on approach, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to translate strategy into execution while reinforcing a culture centered on accountability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and retain operational leaders and frontline teams
- Establish clear expectations and build a culture of accountability and trust
Operational Excellence
- Standardize operating processes to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and in line with customer expectations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with leadership and commercial teams to align operations with growth goals
- Improve communication, handoffs, and coordination across teams
Systems & Reporting
- Support the adoption of operating systems, tools, and reporting rhythms
- Use data and key performance indicators to inform decisions and drive performance
Execution & Change Management
- Lead operational initiatives from planning through execution
- Drive continuous improvement while maintaining operational stability
Qualifications
- Experience leading operations in a service, construction, or field-based environment
- Proven people leader with experience managing and motivating teams
- Strong bias for action and comfort operating in fast-paced settings
