The Opportunity: Partnerships

Location: Remote (US Based)

The Mission

Financial readiness is mission readiness. At VetraFi, we’re building a banking platform from the ground up for service members, veterans, & their families. We're veteran-led, built for those who serve, and focused on delivering the financial products our community deserves.

We believe no one brave enough to serve their country should leave the military worse financially than when they joined. No service member should be one flat tire or government shutdown away from financial chaos. We want our customers to EARN MORE, and we want to help them do so.

We are seeking a Partnerships Teammate who has worn the uniform, recruited the force, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to build a network of partners that will put our secured card, high-yield savings account, and other financial tools into the hands of the recruits and service members who need them most. You will not just be selling a product. You will be equipping recruiters with the tools to shield their candidates/recruits careers.

Who You Are

  • Former Enlisted Leader: You served honorably. You understand what it means to be a leader, a doer, and you understand why a service member's financial foundation is a national security problem.
  • Former Recruiter: You have been a Military Recruiter. You know the grind of “one a month”, the pressure to stay off 601-1, and the resilience required to make the mission happen.
  • A Scrappy Operator: You are not looking for a 9-to-5 desk job with a predefined playbook. You are a doer. You are willing to build the playbook. You are comfortable handling administrative tasks one hour and building  strategic partnership the next. You "roll up your sleeves" to get the job done.
  • Financially Literate: You understand consumer credit, debt-to-income ratios, and banking products. You can explain how a secured credit card works to an 18-year-old private or a 40-year-old retiring Sergeant Major.

What You Will Do

  • Build the Recruiter Network: Identify, prospect, and onboard recruiters, and strategic partners. Turn them into advocates who recommend our financial wellness suite (Secured Card, HYSA, PFM) as a standard part of their candidate preparation process.
  • Execute "Boots on the Ground" Strategy: Attend transition summits, job fairs, and conferences. You will be the face of the brand in the recruiting community, building trust through face-to-face engagement.
  • Market Intelligence: Translate your experience, conversations and recruiter events  into product insights. Feedback what recruiters are actually struggling with (e.g., specific predatory lending issues, credit scams, investment behaviors, etc.) to our Product team to refine our offering.

Qualifications

  • Military Experience: Honorable Discharge from the US Armed Forces (Enlisted ranks preferred).
  • Recruiting Experience: 2+ years of experience in US Military Recruiting.
  • Partnership/Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close deals. Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with the Joint Ethics Regulation (JER) and general financial compliance principles is preferred.
  • Geographic Preference: You are located in a major military recruiting hub such as Atlanta & Ft. Benning, NYC & New Jersey, San Antonio, Colorado Springs, etc. This job will require a fair bit of travel (1-3 weeks a month) and your travel and lodging will be expensed through your company credit card.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 + Performance Bonuses (OTE $115k - $140k) + Equity Option
  • Equity: Stock options in a high-growth fintech startup.
  • Benefits: Health insurance and 401k.
