General Manager – Home Services


About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead a growing residential services organization. This role is responsible for overall operational performance, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and local market presence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, drives results, and builds a strong, people-focused culture.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and support department managers to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for results.
  • Ensure staff have the tools, training, and guidance needed to succeed.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration across all departments.


Operational Management

  • Oversee daily field and office operations for efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor service capacity, staffing levels, and operational KPIs.
  • Address escalated customer issues to maintain a positive experience.


Business & Financial Performance

  • Track performance metrics, job costs, and budget targets; make adjustments as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Support revenue growth through effective planning and resource allocation.


Organizational Responsibilities

  • Creates and owns operating company’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including KPI’s and forecasted staffing needs, resource and infrastructure requirements, and capital expenditures. 
  • Sets financial budgets, approves financial requests, develops company goals, and manages the overall
  • Supports the execution of the organization’s reward and recognition program by planning for and approving merit increase and promotions


Culture, Safety & Workforce Engagement

  • Promote a positive workplace culture and ensure employees feel valued and recognized.
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards across all operations.
  • Encourage employee growth and development through coaching and advancement pathways.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Operations Management, Business

              Administration, or related field

  • Leadership experience in home services, operations, trades, or a similar multi-team environment.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, financial metrics, and operational planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust across field and office teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.


Compensation

  • High $100Ks OTE (Base + Bonus)

  • 1 hour N. of Charlotte, NC
