The Opportunity: Senior FP&A Manager

Location: Dayton, Ohio | Columbus, OH | Cincinnati, OH | Houson, TX | Denver, CO

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to build and lead the FP&A function supporting a growing network of multi-site operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible individual contributor will serve as the primary financial business partner to operations, helping transform financial data into meaningful business insights that improve profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

This is an opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys building rather than maintaining. The successful candidate will establish forecasting processes, develop operational KPIs, improve financial reporting, and create scalable systems that provide leaders with actionable information. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership, this individual will help build the financial discipline necessary to support a rapidly growing, operations-driven business.

The ideal candidate brings experience from a larger organization with mature FP&A practices but is excited by the opportunity to roll up their sleeves inside an entrepreneurial environment where they can directly influence business performance.

  • Develop automation and reporting solutions that reduce manual work and improve decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by delivering timely financial insights and recommendations.
  • Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling, business analysis, and operational planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with experience utilizing ERP and Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Experience developing KPI frameworks, reporting dashboards, and performance management systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence leaders across multiple business functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes through automation and technology.

Key Competencies

  • Builder mentality with the ability to create structure in a growing organization.
  • Strong operational finance mindset with a focus on business partnership.
  • Analytical problem solver who translates complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and drives continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
