Chief Operating Officer – Fast-Growing E-Commerce & Fulfillment Company

Location: Miami, FL (In-Office, Full-Time)

Our client is a rapidly expanding e-commerce company specializing in security equipment and industrial parts. With a track record of doubling sales over the last three years and continued growth projected for 2025, they are focused on becoming the #1 player in their industry. Working with leading national and global suppliers, they provide tens of thousands of SKUs to a customer base that includes major brands such as the Miami Dolphins, USPS, Caterpillar, and BVI Airport.


The Opportunity:

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for executing business strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and leading key teams across sales, marketing, and fulfillment. Reporting directly to the Founder, you will play a hands-on leadership role in optimizing internal processes, driving e-commerce growth, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role requires P&L ownership, strong e-commerce experience, and the ability to lead a fulfillment team from the warehouse floor to high-level strategic execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute operational strategy, ensuring business goals and KPIs are met across departments.
  • Manage and lead cross-functional teams, including Sales, VP of Marketing, Warehouse, and Operations.
  • Oversee supplier relationships (negotiation, onboarding, and training).
  • Drive e-commerce growth by optimizing online sales, customer experience, and fulfillment processes.
  • Maintain and enhance ERP operations (Odoo), working with consultants on large projects while handling minor system updates internally.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency in fulfillment, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Implement performance tracking systems, establish KPIs, and ensure accountability across all teams.
  • Act as a problem-solver, stepping in to troubleshoot operational challenges and support the team in execution.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, sales management, or fulfillment.
  • 2-4 years of experience in B2B e-commerce, ideally within industrial supplies or related fields.
  • Hands-on leadership style, capable of managing both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Strong P&L management experience, with the ability to drive revenue growth and cost efficiency.
  • Highly tech-savvy, with experience in Odoo and Shopify (Klaviyo, ShipStation, and RingCentral are a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt, troubleshoot, and optimize processes.
  • Experience managing and motivating sales teams, implementing incentive structures, and driving performance.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: High $100Ks
  • Bonus: 20%
