A growth-stage, venture-backed technology company supporting government, defense, aerospace, and industrial customers is expanding its customer deployment and growth organization as it enters a new phase of scale. The company develops advanced hardware and software solutions that improve how organizations operate, maintain equipment, and execute mission-critical work in complex environments.

Operating at the intersection of emerging technology, operational workflows, and real-world deployment, the organization partners closely with customers to evaluate, implement, and expand the use of transformational capabilities across a variety of use cases. Teams work collaboratively across engineering, product, operations, and customer-facing functions to accelerate adoption and drive measurable customer outcomes. The culture is highly entrepreneurial, mission focused, and execution driven. Employees are encouraged to take ownership, operate with autonomy, and help shape both customer success and company growth in a fast-moving environment.

Position Overview

The company is seeking a Deployment Strategist to serve as the primary interface between customers, internal teams, and strategic partners throughout the deployment and adoption lifecycle. This is not a traditional sales role. The Deployment Strategist acts as a trusted advisor, relationship manager, and growth leader responsible for helping customers evaluate, implement, and expand the use of advanced technology solutions within their organizations. The ideal candidate combines operational credibility, business acumen, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset. Successful individuals are comfortable navigating complex organizations, building trusted relationships, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving initiatives from initial engagement through long-term adoption. This position requires frequent customer interaction, strategic problem solving, and close collaboration with engineering, product, and leadership teams. Candidates should be energized by emerging technologies, dynamic environments, and helping organizations solve meaningful operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own customer relationships from initial engagement through deployment and expansion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders and strategic partners
  • Guide customers through evaluation, adoption, and implementation of technology solutions
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing engagements and drive long-term account growth
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, operations, and leadership teams to support customer success
  • Develop presentations, proposals, briefings, and customer-facing materials
  • Support demonstrations, workshops, executive engagements, and operational events
  • Capture customer feedback and help translate requirements into actionable internal priorities
  • Maintain strategic relationships across government, defense, aerospace, and industrial organizations
  • Represent the company at customer locations, conferences, industry events, and partner engagements
  • Help shape repeatable offerings, deployment strategies, and go-to-market initiatives as the company scales

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, problem solver, and operationally minded professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working at the intersection of technology, customer engagement, and business growth. Strong candidates will bring a combination of military experience, customer-facing leadership, business development exposure, strategic account management, or technology deployment experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military leadership experience, preferably within Special Operations, Aviation, Maintenance, Intelligence, Logistics, or operational communities
  • Experience in defense technology, aerospace, government contracting, strategic growth, customer success, account management, or business development
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills
  • Experience developing proposals, presentations, or customer-facing deliverables
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Strong business judgment and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Passion for emerging technology and mission-oriented work
  • Candidates with business development backgrounds in defense technology companies, aerospace organizations, federal sales, consulting, strategic growth, customer success, or military leadership roles are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment & Travel

This role involves frequent travel throughout the United States to support customer engagements, operational demonstrations, deployment activities, and strategic partner meetings. Travel is expected to be approximately 25% to 50%, depending on customer assignments and business needs. Some travel may occur with limited advance notice.

The role requires individuals who are comfortable operating in customer-facing environments, engaging senior stakeholders, and supporting both strategic and operational initiatives.

Compensation

Base Salary: Competitive base + performance-based bonus opportunities and equity participation available.
