The Opportunity: General Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois (On-Site)

Company Overview:

A private equity-backed service company operating in the Chicago market is seeking a General Manager to lead its next phase of growth. The business is transitioning from a founder-led, paper-based operation to a modern, scalable platform with upgraded operational and financial systems.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

The General Manager will lead the Chicago operation with full P&L responsibility, implementing processes and KPIs, improving operations, and managing a team of technicians and office staff while driving growth across the market.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong operational leadership with a process and KPI-driven mindset
• Experience managing service-based or dispatched technician teams
• Ability to lead teams through organizational change and growth
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities

Experience Level:

• Experience leading branch operations or field-service businesses
• Background in route-based or dispatched service models
• Experience managing technician or trades-based teams

Compensation:

Base Salary: $150K

Bonus: 20% performance bonus tied to revenue and EBITDA targets
