We are a fast-growing startup run by experienced entrepreneurs that helps companies hire military veterans. We work with employers and military veterans in three ways.
Our team is comprised of military veterans who care deeply about serving their clients and the veteran community.
Brendan Aronson (CEO) attended the US Naval Academy for his undergraduate degree and served for six years as an infantry officer in the US Marine Corps, with deployments to Asia and Iraq. He worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, and received his MBA from The Wharton School of Business. Prior to The Military Veteran, Brendan was on the leadership team at Service to School - a non-profit that has helped veterans matriculate to top universities. He also co-founded and ran Paintru, a consumer startup. He is a serial entrepreneur who has helped thousands of veterans transition out of the military and into higher education and meaningful careers.
Jim Lose (COO) served as an intelligence officer in the Marine Corps for eight years, deployed across the Middle East, the Balkans, and the Asia-Pacific region, and re-activated for an additional year of active duty during Operation Enduring Freedom. Jim has been a leader at the top executive search firms in the country with a focus on veteran placement for over two decades and has guided nearly 3,000 veterans into successful civilian careers.
Tim Hsia (co-founder) is a distinguished West Point graduate, a former Army infantry officer, Stanford JD/MBA graduate, co-founder of Service to School, and founder, general partner, and investor at Context Ventures. Tim is a serial entrepreneur who is an ardent advocate on behalf of veterans.
Lenore Karafa (client services partner) served as a Marine Corps officer for seven years, including deployments to Iraq, before transitioning to the private sector. Lenore holds an MBA from Wharton and has worked in investment banking, strategic consulting, and venture capital.
