The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a growth-minded Vice President of Operations to help lead and scale operations within a project-based services business. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will play a critical part in driving execution, strengthening teams, and building repeatable operating systems that support long-term growth.

This leader will bring an ownership mindset, a bias toward action, and the ability to translate strategy into execution—while fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top operational talent
  • Build a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous improvement

Operational Excellence

  • Strengthen and standardize operating processes to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability
  • Drive on-time, on-budget project execution with a strong customer-first mindset

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with sales and leadership to align execution with growth objectives
  • Improve communication, handoffs, and accountability across teams

Systems & Reporting

  • Support the implementation and adoption of core operating systems and reporting rhythms
  • Use data and KPIs to inform decisions and drive performance

Execution & Change Management

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution
  • Champion change while maintaining operational stability and momentum

Qualifications

  • Experience leading operations in construction, project-based, or field-service environments
  • Proven people leader with experience managing and motivating frontline teams
  • Strong bias for action with the ability to operate in fast-paced, growth environments
  • Ownership mentality with high standards for execution and follow-through
  • Data-informed decision-maker with a focus on outcomes, not activity
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence across levels and functions
  • High integrity, resilience, and commitment to building something meaningful

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $150,000–$160,000, commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus tied to operational and growth outcomes
