This role is ideal for leaders who bring an ownership mindset, remain calm under pressure, and can translate complex information into decisive action while engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead or support turnaround, transformation, or performance recovery initiatives
- Assess execution across cost, schedule, scope, risk, and reliability
- Drive accountability and clarity in ambiguous or high-pressure situations
Data-Driven Problem Solving
- Translate operational data and analytics into actionable insights
- Identify root causes of underperformance and guide corrective action
- Balance technical rigor with practical execution
Executive Communication
- Brief senior leaders with clarity, confidence, and intellectual honesty
- Present risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations in a decisive, solutions-oriented manner
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead small, cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority
- Influence technically senior stakeholders through credibility and judgment
Change & Execution
- Champion change while maintaining operational stability
- Support implementation of new processes, systems, or execution rhythms
Qualifications
- Experience in turnaround, shutdown, outage, or large-scale operational environments
- Engineering background preferred
- Background in operations, engineering, maintenance, project execution, or military leadership
- Proven ability to lead peers and senior stakeholders in high-stakes settings
- Strong bias for action with sound judgment under uncertainty
- Data-informed decision-maker focused on outcomes, not activity
- Direct communicator with the confidence to surface uncomfortable truths
