
Job Description: Executive Assistant / Administrative Assistant
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based)
Position Type: Full-Time (includes occasional evening flexibility as needed)

About The Military Veteran
The Military Veteran is dedicated to supporting, empowering, and connecting military veterans in their professional and personal journeys. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Executive Assistant/Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support to our leadership team. This role is essential in managing day-to-day operations, communications, and documents, enabling the organization to stay focused and mission-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support
- Manage executive calendars, appointments, and scheduling needs with precision.
- Organize virtual and in-person meetings (agendas, materials, follow-ups).
- Track deadlines, priorities, and deliverables to ensure alignment.
Communication & Outreach
- Monitor, draft, and manage executive email and LinkedIn correspondence.
- Serve as a first contact point for inquiries with professionalism.
- Assist with professional networking, social media presence, and outreach.
Documentation & Contracts
- Draft, review, edit, and maintain contracts and agreements.
- Manage electronic filing systems and ensure version control.
- Coordinate collection of signatures and compliance.
- Occasional evening availability to support time-sensitive tasks such as contract writing, document review, and other administrative needs.
Operational Support
- Support team operations, trainings, and special projects.
- Assist with travel/event planning, including an annual team offsite or trainings.
- Provide administrative support to leadership and other staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Executive or Administrative Assistant (nonprofit or mission-driven org experience a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and scheduling platforms (Outlook, Calendly, Zoom, etc.).
- Skilled in LinkedIn, email management, and CRM tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $40,000 – $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Structure: Initial 3-month probationary period as a 1099 contractor. Following successful completion, transition to a W-2 employee.
