THE GIST:

Our client, a full-service events firm, is looking for a top-notch Event Manager to assist the firm with planning world-class experiences for companies across the globe. Experience working for an event services agency is required and at least 4 years in event management. Position is remote + travel for events (central time hours).

THE NITTY GRITTY: 

• Facilitate client meetings and provide stellar customer service throughout the planning process
• Create and manage timelines for events working closely with project team and client
• Manage event budgets (often $1M+)
• Plan multi-day destination events - incentive trips, internal meetings, and user conferences
• Source locations, select hotels, and partner with onsite staff
• Work with outside vendors, negotiate contracts, and provide day-of direction
• Travel for events & site visits - 20% of the time
• Manage multiple projects and events simultaneously

THE ESSENTIALS: 

• 4+ years of experience in events management
• Must have experience working for an events services agency
• Ability to travel both domestically & internationally - 20%
• Experience planning multi-day destination hotel events, including incentive trips, meetings, and conferences
• Experience planning and managing events of a large size (200+)
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Ability to multi task and prioritize
• Impeccable communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and with external parties
• Positive and service-oriented approach to their work

COMPENSATION: Base salary: $115,000/yr - $130,000/yr + benefits (exact compensation will vary based on skills, location, experience, and expertise)
