THE GIST:

Our client is a unique, founder-focused venture capital firm creating an exceptional residential experience for entrepreneurs in San Francisco. They are looking for a warm, highly capable House Hospitality Manager to oversee the day-to-day experience and operations of one of their private residences. On-site living in a provided apartment adjacent to the residence is strongly preferred, allowing this person to be present and accessible to residents.

This is a hands-on role that blends hospitality, concierge service, residential operations, and relationship management. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys taking care of people, notices the little things, and naturally takes ownership!

THE NITTY GRITTY:

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for residents, building genuine relationships and becoming a trusted resource throughout each residency.
• Create a warm, welcoming environment for residents, guests, investors, and visitors.
• Welcome and orient new residents, helping them get settled and understand how the home operates.
• Manage day-to-day requests and needs, responding quickly, thoughtfully, and with a high level of service.
• Anticipate needs and proactively identify ways to make the residence more comfortable, functional, and enjoyable.
• Maintain a strong pulse on what is happening throughout the home and ensure residents have what they need.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property, proactively identifying maintenance, cleanliness, inventory, or resident-experience issues.
• Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and outdoor spaces are consistently clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, laundry, maintenance teams, and outside vendors to ensure the property is operating at a consistently high standard.
• Troubleshoot issues and see them through to resolution, often working independently and with minimal direction.
• Support dinners, programming, special events, and visiting guests as needed.
• Partner closely with the broader team to ensure the residence runs seamlessly behind the scenes.

THE ESSENTIALS:

• 3+ years of experience in hospitality, concierge, guest services, boutique hotels, private clubs, luxury residential environments, house management, or another high-touch service setting
• Ability to work and respond to urgent matters outside of traditional business hours
• Exceptionally organized with a strong eye for detail
• Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership without waiting to be asked.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of personalities.
• Calm, flexible, and solution-oriented when plans change or unexpected issues arise.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and willing to roll up your sleeves when needed.
• Someone who naturally notices the small things (remembering preferences, greeting people by name, noticing when something feels off, and taking action before a request needs to be made, etc.)

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

• Onsite housing provided or nearby housing stipend

COMPENSATION: $130-140k base salary + benefits + perks, depending on skills, experience, and expertise
