About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our growing interior design consultancy in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth across commercial office, hospitality, retail, workplace, and residential design projects.
This role focuses on securing opportunities for interior design, workplace strategy, space planning, and concept development services. The company operates as a design consultancy and does not undertake construction or fit-out works.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the UAE market.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, landlords, real estate agents, project managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Promote the company’s interior design, workplace strategy, space planning, and concept development services.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, company profiles, and capability statements to prospective clients.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to understand client requirements and develop tailored proposals and design solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through proposal submission, negotiation, project award, and ongoing client relationship management.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract finalisation.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company professionally and strengthen its presence within the UAE market.
- Develop long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of business development or B2B sales experience within Interior Design, Architecture, Workplace Consultancy, Commercial Real Estate, Fit-Out, or Construction sectors.
- Strong network of clients, consultants, developers, landlords, and corporate occupiers within the UAE.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully winning projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of workplace design, interior design concepts, space planning, and commercial office environments.
- Ability to confidently engage with senior decision-makers and international clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive, commercially minded, and results-driven.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field (MBA advantageous).
- Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
- Must provide references and contact details of previous employers. Reference and background checks may be conducted.
- Demonstrated professional integrity, strong work ethic, and positive employment history.
