The Opportunity

Change Agent AI is rapidly expanding with a robust pipeline. The Founding Sales Lead will work closely with the founders, spending the first three months building top-of-funnel outreach, learning the full sales motion, and co-selling on live deals. Once repeatable pipeline generation is established, an SDR will be added to support prospecting, enabling the Sales Lead to focus on closing.


This position is designed for a senior sales leader who wants to guide the company’s sales operation and help drive long-term growth. As an early-stage startup, Change Agent AI looks to this role to shape the company broadly, with input into many aspects of growth.


Key Responsibilities

Months 0–3 (Ramp Up with Founder Co-selling)

  • Build targeted outbound lists and run multi-channel outreach campaigns
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, set discovery calls, and manage early funnel stages
  • Join founders on discovery and demo calls to learn positioning and objection handling
  • Keep HubSpot up to date with all activities and insights
  • Achieve monthly goals for new meetings and sales-accepted opportunities

Months 3+ (Full Sales Leadership Role)

  • Own the entire sales process from discovery to signed agreement
  • Run tailored product demos, build proposals, and negotiate terms
  • Forecast accurately and maintain a healthy pipeline
  • Provide customer and market feedback to product and marketing teams
  • Mentor the SDR responsible for pipeline generation
  • Provide strategic sales leadership and refine the sales motion, including the hiring plan

Ramp and Growth Plan

  • Immersive co-selling – Shadow founders on calls and demos, practice the sales story
  • Lead ownership – Take over discovery and qualification while founders close
  • Full-cycle handoff – Manage demos, proposals, and closes for self-generated pipeline
  • SDR support – Focus on closing while SDR handles prospecting
  • Leadership track – Define strategy, refine playbooks, coach new reps, and shape sales culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B SaaS sales leadership experience with strong outbound results
  • Proven success booking meetings and advancing prospects through the funnel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical products to non-technical buyers
  • HubSpot (or similar CRM) expertise
  • Highly self-directed, organized, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Passion for tech that drives social impact; nonprofit or advocacy sector experience is a plus
