THE JOB

Our client is looking for a sales-focused retail leader to manage front-of-house operations and drive revenue growth.

This individual will play a key role in shaping the in-store experience, developing a high-performing team, and elevating overall sales through hands-on leadership and direct customer engagement. Unlike traditional retail management roles, this position blends sales leadership, hospitality, merchandising, and community involvement. The ideal candidate will be energized by working on the sales floor—coaching team members, guiding customer purchases, and ensuring every guest leaves with an outstanding experience.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving daily sales performance and revenue growth
  • Coaching and developing a high-performing retail team
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Increasing average order value through product knowledge and upselling
  • Overseeing merchandising, product presentation, and inventory coordination
  • Generating store traffic through events and community engagement
  • Collaborating with culinary leadership to enhance the guest experience


This role requires a hands-on leader who enjoys being actively engaged on the sales floor, interacting with customers, and mentoring team members.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will have experience in customer-facing sales environments where service and revenue generation are closely connected.

Strong applicants may come from boutique retail, hospitality, winery retail, specialty food markets, lifestyle brands, or similar industries.


Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience managing retail or hospitality teams
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales performance and revenue growth
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience coaching teams on sales and service excellence
  • Background in boutique retail, hospitality, or lifestyle brands
  • Experience with merchandising, store presentation, or product curation
  • Ability to lead in fast-paced, high-touch environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Comfort operating in a destination or tourism-driven market


Experience in apparel, specialty food, wine, or lifestyle retail is a strong plus.

Compensation includes:

  • Base salary typically ranging from $65,000–$75,000
  • Performance incentives bringing total earnings to approximately $90,000 OTE
