Our client is a growing manufacturer in the off-highway tire industry, serving agriculture, construction, industrial, OTR, and specialty tire markets. The company works through dealers and channel partners to support customers who need durable tire solutions for demanding field applications.
THE JOB
The Business Development Manager will own and grow an assigned territory by developing dealer and channel partner relationships, expanding existing accounts, and creating new revenue opportunities.
This is a field-based sales role with significant travel. The territory includes existing customers, but there is also meaningful opportunity to improve market coverage, increase share of wallet, and grow underdeveloped areas.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow an assigned territory through dealers and channel partners.
- Expand existing accounts and identify new revenue opportunities.
- Strengthen the regional dealer / channel network.
- Meet or exceed revenue, budget, and volume targets.
- Partner with dealers to promote products, educate sales teams, support customers, and drive pull-through demand.
- Deliver product presentations and support customer sales calls.
- Travel throughout the territory to visit dealers, partners, and customers.
- Report on pipeline, forecast, sales activity, and results.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing on promotions, product materials, and market initiatives.
- Identify distribution gaps and underpenetrated markets.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5–8 years of tire sales experience preferred.
- Strong preference for off-highway, OTR, agriculture, construction, industrial, commercial, or specialty tire experience.
- Proven success growing a field sales territory.
- Experience selling through dealers, distributors, or channel partners.
- Ability to balance account growth with new business development.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Self-directed, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to learn and communicate technical product information.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
- Must live within the assigned territory or in a practical location for territory coverage.
- Must be comfortable with heavy travel, including regular overnight travel.
