THE COMPANY:

This company is a leading distributor of industrial compressors, pumps, and equipment solutions, serving commercial and municipal clients across the Western U.S. With over 65 years of experience and a stellar reputation in the industrial space, they offer high-performance equipment, deep technical support, and an employee-owned culture that rewards long-term thinking. Backed by a major investment firm and operating across eight states, they continue to grow through strategic expansion and a customer-first mindset. Their product lines include premium vendor brands in compressed air systems, fluid movement technology, and supporting infrastructure.

THE JOB:

The Industrial Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and growing an established territory in the Tacoma metro area and the Olympic Peninsula. This role is focused entirely on selling new equipment — including industrial compressors, pumps, and accessories — rather than aftermarket service or parts. You’ll engage clients in-person and remotely, offering technical guidance, system solutions, and value-added support. This is a field-based role that requires frequent local travel, with occasional overnight trips for training and sales meetings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of industrial accounts through regular in-person visits, calls, and emails
  • Prospecting new customers via cold calls, engineering firm outreach, tradeshows, and referrals
  • Documenting all activities, leads, and opportunities in the Dynamics CRM system
  • Developing quotes and proposals for compressors, pumps, and system accessories
  • Collaborating with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and technical alignment
  • Staying current on product lines, vendor training, and industry best practices
  • Representing the company with professionalism and deep technical credibility

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the industrial equipment space — ideally with pumps, compressors, motors, or fluid systems
  • Strong working knowledge of compressed air systems and/or fluid pumping systems
  • Experience managing a full-cycle, quota-carrying territory
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; STEM or technical backgrounds a plus
  • Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and technical
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously
  • Experience using CRM software (Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

THE BENEFITS

  • $70,000 – $95,000 base salary + performance-based bonus
  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, holidays, sick time
  • Community Service Pay and Wellness Programs
  • Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)
  • Supportive team culture and long-tenured leadership
  • Career growth opportunities across a growing multi-state company
