THE JOB

The Forest Hill, MD branch is seeking a Sales Representative / Branch Manager to lead the turnaround, rebuild the team, and drive growth. The branch is currently in a recovery phase, and this leader will be accountable for increasing top-line revenue, hiring and developing a lean team, and expanding the customer base across the greater Bel Air/Baltimore market. This is a hands-on, field-focused role combining outside sales leadership with daily operational management.


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all branch operations with full P&L ownership
  • Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, door-knocking, and winning contractor accounts
  • Recruit, train, and mentor inside sales staff, counter personnel, and drivers
  • Oversee pricing, quoting, inventory control, warehouse operations, and deliveries
  • Grow revenue through consistent outbound sales activity, high service levels, and relationship development


Branch snapshot:

  • Current team: 3 employees (no dedicated outside sales rep today)
  • Current revenue: approximately $1.4M (historical peak near $4M)
  • Growth goal: rebuild to $3–4M+ within three years
  • Territory: roughly a 30–45-minute radius around Forest Hill / Bel Air, MD


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record in B2B field sales with branch, territory, or P&L responsibility
  • Hands-on leadership experience within distribution, building materials, or related trades
  • Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated success securing new business through outbound efforts
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and developing small teams
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategy, inventory management, logistics, and delivery coordination
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and persistent
  • Thrives in autonomous environments and leads from the field
  • High integrity, accountability, and resilience; motivated by profit-sharing incentives


THE BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $90,000
  • Year-one profit-sharing guarantee: $10,000
  • Long-term earning potential: $200,000+ total compensation based on performance
  • Car allowance: $750–$850 per month (taxable) or optional FAVR vehicle program
