THE JOB The Forest Hill, MD branch is seeking a Sales Rep / Branch Manager to lead, rebuild, and grow the operation. The branch is in a rebuild phase, and the new leader will drive top-line sales, recruit and develop a small team, and expand the customer base across the greater Bel Air/Baltimore corridor. This is a hands-on, field-focused role combining outside sales leadership with daily operational ownership.


Key responsibilities:

  • Run all branch operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Lead new business development: prospect, cold call, door knock, and win contractor accounts.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor inside/counter/driver talent.
  • Oversee pricing, quoting, inventory, warehouse logistics, and delivery schedules.
  • Grow revenue through consistent outbound activity, excellent service, and relationship building.


Branch snapshot:

  • Current team: 3 employees (no dedicated outside rep yet)
  • Annual revenue today: ~$1.4M (historical peak ~$4M)
  • Goal: Rebuild to $3–4M+ within 3 years
  • Territory: ~30–45‑minute radius around Forest Hill/Bel Air, MD


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Success in B2B field sales with branch/territory or P&L responsibility
  • Hands‑on leadership in distribution, building materials, or similar trades
  • Proven ability to hunt and win new business through outbound activity
  • Hiring, coaching, and developing small teams
  • Working knowledge of pricing, inventory, logistics, and delivery coordination
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Entrepreneurial, self‑directed, highly persistent
  • Thrives in autonomy; leads from the front in the field
  • High integrity, accountability, and resilience; motivated by profit sharing


Preferred backgrounds:

  • Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, industrial supply, MRO, or building-products distribution
  • Large‑format retail/trade leadership (e.g., big‑box) with strong people leadership


THE BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $90,000
  • Year‑1 profit‑sharing guarantee: $10,000
  • Long‑term earning potential: $200,000+ total compensation with performance
  • Car allowance: $750–$850/month (taxed) or FAVR vehicle program option
