THE JOB
The Account Manager – Enterprise (Chicago) will be responsible for driving sales across commercial enterprise accounts in Illinois and Greater Chicago. This individual will own relationships with Fortune 1000 customers, build and execute territory strategies, and expand adoption of NETSCOUT’s network performance, service assurance, and cybersecurity solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Achieve and exceed assigned quota through direct sales.
- Build and execute a territory plan for enterprise customers in the Chicago region.
- Develop and maintain a 4x quota pipeline.
- Prospect and expand business in both new and existing accounts.
- Build strong executive-level (CIO, CISO, IT leaders) relationships.
- Work with Sales Engineers to ensure technical solution alignment.
- Call consistently “high and wide” across complex enterprise accounts.
- Drive revenue directly, even if deals are fulfilled through channels.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be a proven enterprise sales professional with experience selling complex solutions into commercial accounts. Requirements include:
- 6–8+ years of enterprise technology sales experience in networking, service assurance, application performance management (APM), or cybersecurity.
- Proven track record of quota attainment and territory growth.
- Strong network of enterprise/C-level relationships in the Chicago/Illinois market.
- Experience managing complex, multi-level accounts with long sales cycles.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus.
- Ability to prospect independently and close large enterprise deals.
