THE ROLE
The Mid-Market Consultant is responsible for generating new business by selling payroll and HCM software solutions to SMB and mid-market organizations.
This is a full-cycle sales role that requires strong prospecting skills, outbound sales execution, territory management, consultative selling expertise, and consistent field engagement. The ideal candidate will identify target accounts, build pipeline, lead discovery conversations, present workforce management solutions, and close new business opportunities.
This position is best suited for experienced HCM sales professionals who excel in a high-performance, field-based environment with clear accountability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities through prospecting efforts
- Sell payroll and HCM solutions to SMB and mid-market companies
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Conduct both in-person and virtual client meetings
- Build, maintain, and manage a healthy territory pipeline
- Ensure accurate forecasting and CRM documentation
- Effectively compete against other HCM providers in the market
- Establish consultative relationships with key business decision-makers
- Execute strategic outbound prospecting initiatives
- Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales quotas
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 2–10 years of B2B sales experience
- Direct HCM sales experience required
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Experience with prospecting and managing full-cycle sales processes
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Comfortable working in a field-based sales environment
Preferred
- Experience with payroll, HRIS, PEO, or workforce management solutions
- Background selling to SMB and mid-market organizations
- Experience using Salesforce CRM
- Strong consultative selling skills

- $60,000 variable compensation
- $130,000 OTE at 100% quota attainment
