THE JOB
The Growth Segment Manager – Solids will lead North American growth strategy for solid tire segments, including forklift, telehandler, loader solids, and POB applications. This role owns the commercial strategy for assigned segments, supports product portfolio direction, develops channel growth plans, and drives sales and margin performance.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits between product, sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and national accounts. The right person will understand the off-highway tire market, know how to translate market insight into action, and be comfortable driving both strategy and execution.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage the solid tire product portfolio for North American market needs.
- Develop and execute growth strategies for forklift, telehandler, loader solids, POB, and related applications.
- Identify, develop, and secure new channel partners, including national accounts and rental fleets.
- Grow share of wallet with existing accounts and support key deal negotiations.
- Partner with account managers and national account managers to close strategic opportunities.
- Analyze market data, pricing, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Support product development with customer and market feedback.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, promotional materials, and trade show strategy.
- Support pricing strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and margin performance.
- Coordinate across sales, product, finance, marketing, supply chain, and logistics.
- Communicate segment strategy, performance, and resource needs to senior leadership.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of industry experience, or 10+ years in tires with at least 5 years in off-highway tires.
- Experience across multiple OHT segments strongly preferred.
- Solid tire, material handling, forklift, telehandler, loader, rental fleet, or industrial tire experience is highly valuable.
- Track record in strategic sales, segment management, product management, or B2B business development.
- Ability to build and execute go-to-market plans.
- Strong commercial judgment around pricing, margin, channel growth, and customer needs.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, finance, supply chain, and leadership.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating with autonomy.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced or specialized degree preferred.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required; SAP or Navision experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
