THE JOB

This role is responsible for leading North American sales for a specialized window automation product line used in commercial and institutional buildings. The Sales Manager will work independently to develop relationships with architects, façade consultants, glaziers, and window manufacturers, while coordinating with independent manufacturer rep groups across the U.S. and Canada. Success in this role requires technical credibility, strong presentation skills, and comfort operating in long, spec-driven sales cycles. This position involves significant travel throughout North America and periodic international travel for training and trade events.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience selling into architect-led or specification-driven construction environments
  • Background in window automation, building systems, fire/smoke evacuation, or related technologies
  • Mechanical or electrical technical foundation (engineering degree, trade school, military, or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to read drawings, support takeoffs, pricing, and technical discussions
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort leading in-person meetings and “lunch and learn” sessions
  • Willingness to travel 60%+ across North America
  • Self-directed, independent work style with strong organizational discipline


THE COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: Midpoint of $80,000-$85,000
  • Target Total Compensation: $115,000–$140,000
  • Year-one structure may include quarterly MBO-based bonuses tied to verified pipeline development due to long sales cycles
