This role will focus on the forestry segment, supporting local tire retailers, strategic accounts, sales teams, and customers across a multi-state Southeastern territory.
THE JOB
Our client is hiring a Field Activation Specialist, Forestry to drive growth across the forestry tire segment in North America. This person will serve as a key link between corporate leadership, regional sales teams, local tire retailers, and customers in the field.
Territory includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop specialized new business and support long-term growth with existing customers in the forestry tire segment.
- Build and execute go-to-market sales strategies in partnership with the sales force.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals, annual sales targets, and margin objectives.
- Drive segment sales growth by developing new customers and increasing share with existing accounts.
- Provide training, merchandising support, and operational guidance to local tire retailers.
- Partner with marketing on promotional materials, tradeshow participation, pricing updates, and competitive product information.
- Provide field feedback and guidance to internal teams regarding product development needs in growth segments.
- Collaborate with the central product team on new product development based on customer needs and market demand.
- Communicate strategies, market feedback, and resource needs to management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics to support reporting, pricing compliance, approvals, and customer delivery needs.
- Review market analysis to evaluate customer needs, pricing, discount rates, and competitive positioning.
- Represent the company at regional trade association meetings and industry events.
- Deliver sales presentations to key clients and support product portfolio conversations.
- Work with Account Managers and OE Managers, or independently, to maintain key customer relationships, negotiate, and close business.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and competitive products.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 to 7 years of industry experience in forestry is a must (tire or heavy equipment)
- Experience with off-highway tires, ideally including forestry, OHT, commercial tire, or related heavy equipment tire segments.
- Familiarity with multiple off-highway tire product segments and the tire development process.
- Experience developing customers, supporting dealer channels, and growing market share in a field-based sales or product activation role.
- Ability to work with tire retailers, strategic accounts, internal sales teams, product teams, and corporate leadership.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate product, pricing, market, and competitive information clearly.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to visit customers, provide training, support retailers, and attend industry events.
- Strong time management, organization, and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present factual data in a concise, organized, and professional manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Navision, SAP, or similar systems is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to read documents, reports, pricing materials, and computer screens as part of regular work.
THE BENEFITS
- Base salary range of $90,000 to $115,000, depending on experience
- Quarterly commission potential of approximately $6,000 to $12,000+
